Each term, students donate £11.00 in their battels to fund donations that the JCR makes to charities. These funds are aggregated and donated to up to five charities that members of the JCR pitch and the entire student body votes on. In recent terms, the JCR has donated to Oxford Mutual Aid, Asylum Welcome, and International Assistance Mission (IAM) Afghanistan.
The Charities Ballot typically takes place in Week 5 of each term. On Sunday, members of the JCR pitch their respective charities in the meeting and vote on them during the week.
